Doctors & Appointments

Dr Anastasios Karakaidos, Dr Nicole Hutt and Dr Gaurav Tewary offer GP services to a number of aged care facilities in the Illawarra and southern Sydney. The GPs offer in person appointments at the aged care facilities and also telephone and video telehealth appointments to existing practice patients.

Each of the GPs usually visit each facility once a week at a designated time and day of the week. The GPs make the nursing staff and residents aware of their schedule.

Patients and families should generally direct all requests for appointments with the GP to the nurse on duty at the aged care facility. Nursing staff maintain a list of residents requiring medical review on the day the doctor visits. If more urgent medical review is required during normal business hours on other days the nursing staff will contact the doctor directly and the GP will consult via telephone or video telehealth if possible.

Afterhours medical care is offered by the the Wollongong Radio Doctor, and urgent care by may be offered by Aged Care Outreach Service and NSW ambulance / local hospitals.

Should you need to contact the GP directly please see our communications information.
