Illawarra Aged Care GPs is a mobile aged care general practice providing comprehensive, patient-centred, whole-person and continuous care to residents of aged care facilities.

Dr Anastasios Karakaidos, Dr Nicole Hutt and Dr Gaurav Tewary visit a number of aged care facilities in the Illawarra and southern Sydney – see Doctors & Appointments for details of facilities.

Each of the GPs usually visit each facility once a week at a designated time and day of the week.

  • Yearly Health Assessment
  • Regular medication reviews
  • influenza vaccination
  • Routine scheduled visits for both urgent and non urgent issues

  • End of life care / Palliative care
  • Nursing support
  • Chronic disease management
  • infectious disease management
  • mental health care
  • preventive healthcare
  • arrangements with other health professionals such as aged care nurses, mental health nurses, allied health professionals, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and practitioners.

Illawarra Aged Care GPs have a central office in the northern Illawarra. This space is used for administration purposes only and patients are only seen in the aged care facilities.
